Living in Manchester has made me realise how tiny Kirkwall is in comparison. Still it was a great place to grow up and its where my parents are, so its always gonna be called Home to me.

I was browsing through photos on my flickr account the other day and did a search for "Orkney" in the pics from other people.
Here we have county show day last year. My parents live very close to this park and growing up I spent many days in the summer with the rest of the family playing badminton and a few other sports.

I had forgotten how you can always see the sea there, unlike manchester where I am now, you have to travel for a few hours to get to the coastline.

Its thanks to friends that this years Hogmanay was brilliant.. you know who you all are.


Another festive season over with and into the new year. This year I had less time off after New Years day. Went back to work to a full week and hardly any time to think.

Targets for this year:

• Move into a place out of the city
• Save up some money for a few trips overseas.
• Think about getting a car.
• Maybe lose some weight.
